We live in a culture that often measures success by what we accumulate in the present. However, the scriptures challenge us to lift our eyes and consider a much longer timeline. In the book of Proverbs, we are reminded that a truly good life has a ripple effect, providing a spiritual and moral inheritance that reaches all the way to our grandchildren. Legacy, from a biblical perspective, is about the character and faith we deposit into others.

Rev. Romy Velasco connects this ancient wisdom with the Apostle Paul's letter to Timothy. Paul uses the imagery of physical training to illustrate spiritual growth, noting that while physical exercise has some value, training yourself in godliness holds a promise for both the present life and the life to come. Building a lasting legacy requires daily intention and spiritual discipline.
