📖 Scriptures: 1 Thessalonians 2:1-8; Psalm 100
🎙 Message: Nurturing Our Children – Rev. Romy Velasco
The church is called to be a multi-generational family where faith is passed down as a living heritage. In Psalm 100, we find a beautiful call to worship that reminds us of God's enduring character. The Psalmist declares that the Lord's faithfulness continues through all generations. This timeless truth gives us a firm foundation as we look at our responsibility to guide, love, and support the children in our community.
Rev. Romy Velasco connects this generational faithfulness with the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians. Paul uses deeply relational imagery, comparing his ministry style to a nursing mother tenderly caring for her own children. He emphasizes that true spiritual nurturing goes far beyond merely sharing information or preaching a sermon; it requires a willingness to share our very souls with those we are mentoring.
This message invites us to reflect on how we are investing in the young people around us. Nurturing children in the faith is a collective effort that belongs to the whole church family. By modeling Christ’s love, patience, and grace in our everyday interactions, we create a safe environment where the next generation can encounter God and discover their own unique identity in Him.
We warmly welcome you to join us this Sunday as we gather to praise God and study His Word together. Our services provide a peaceful space to recharge your spirit, find community support, and gain practical wisdom for daily living. We look forward to seeing you in the sanctuary.
