🎙 Message: What Makes a Hero? – Rev. Romy Velasco

Our world often measures heroes by their extraordinary feats, strength, or fame. However, Scripture offers a different perspective on true greatness. In Hebrews 11, often called the "Hall of Faith," we are introduced to men and women who were named heroes not because of worldly status, but because they stepped out in bold obedience and trusted God's promises even when the path ahead was uncertain.

Rev. Romy Velasco connects the faith of Abraham and the ancients with the joyful thanksgiving found in Psalm 21. King David celebrates how God grants victory, strength, and blessings to those who place their trust in the Lord. True heroism is forged in quiet faithfulness, selflessness, and a willingness to stand firm for what is right.

On this Veterans Day Recognition Sunday, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the men and women of our armed forces who have courageously served and sacrificed for our freedom. Their dedication mirrors the sacrificial spirit we are called to embody in our daily walk of faith.

During our service, we will pause to honor our local veterans and express our thanks for their service. Whether you are a veteran, a military family member, or someone seeking an inspiring message of hope, we warmly welcome you to join our congregation for this special morning of praise and remembrance.
