Promotion Sunday: Praying for a New School Year

Last Sunday, Green Camp United Methodist Church celebrated Promotion Sunday as we prepared to send our students into a new school year.

During worship, we took time to pray over all of our students as they begin another year of learning, growing, and discovering new things. We prayed that God would guide them throughout the year, give them courage when things are difficult, and surround them with caring teachers, friends, and mentors. We also prayed for the teachers, administrators, and staff who will be serving our local schools.

One particularly special moment of the morning was recognizing Crev, who is being promoted into 4th Grade this year. To celebrate this milestone and encourage him in his faith, Education Chair Cathi Creviston presented him with a children's Bible.

As our students enter their new classes, we pray that God's Word will continue to be a source of wisdom, encouragement, and hope for them. We are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside all of our young people and support them as they grow, not only in their education, but also in their faith.

We all of our students a wonderful school year! May God bless our students, teachers, and school communities throughout the year ahead.
