Senior Tech Class Coming to Green Camp UMC This April

Green Camp United Methodist Church is excited to offer a new Senior Tech Class designed to help older adults feel more confident using smartphones, the internet, and everyday technology.


The class begins Saturday, April 25 at 10:00 AM and will meet Saturday mornings for six weeks. Each session will focus on practical skills that help participants safely and confidently navigate today’s digital world.


Instructor Dylan DeWitt will guide the class through important topics including:

  • Internet safety and protecting personal information

  • Recognizing scams and fraud

  • Understanding misinformation online

  • Identifying fake pictures and videos

  • Safe online shopping

  • How to navigate almost any website or app

  • And other useful digital skills


This class is designed especially for seniors and will include clear explanations, demonstrations, and time for questions. Participants are encouraged to bring their smartphones so they can follow along and practice what they learn.


Whether you want to stay safer online, shop with confidence, or simply understand your phone better, this class will provide helpful tools in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
