Sunday School Preview: August 30 – Maintain

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church provides a meaningful opportunity to grow in our understanding of Scripture and strengthen our relationship with God. Through open discussion and shared reflection, participants are encouraged to connect biblical truths with the realities of everyday life.

On Sunday, August 30, our lesson, Maintain, will focus on Job 1–21. These opening chapters of Job introduce us to a man whose life changes dramatically despite his faithfulness to God. As Job experiences profound loss and begins to wrestle with difficult questions, his story gives us an honest look at what it means to have faith in the midst of suffering and uncertainty.

Job's experience reminds us that faith does not mean we will always understand what God is doing. There are seasons when circumstances raise more questions than answers, and when the people around us may not fully understand what we are experiencing. Yet through all of this, Job continues to wrestle with God rather than simply walking away from Him.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on what it means to maintain faith when circumstances are difficult. We will discuss how to remain grounded when answers are unclear, how to bring honest questions and emotions before God, and how perseverance can strengthen our relationship with Him.

This lesson encourages us to remember that maintaining our faith does not require pretending that everything is easy. Instead, it means continuing to seek God, trust His character, and remain connected to Him even when we cannot see the whole picture.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue learning, growing, and discovering how faith can remain strong even in the midst of life's most difficult questions.
