Sunday School Preview: August 9 – You Have The Power

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church provides a meaningful opportunity for individuals to grow in their understanding of Scripture and strengthen their relationship with God. Through open discussion and shared reflection, participants are encouraged to apply biblical truths to everyday life.

On Sunday, August 9, our lesson, You Have The Power, will focus on Proverbs 18–31 and 2 Chronicles 14–19. These passages combine practical wisdom for daily living with real-life examples of leadership, faith, and dependence on God.

The book of Proverbs teaches us about the power of our words, decisions, and attitudes. It reminds us that what we say and how we live can bring life, encouragement, and truth—or cause harm and division. At the same time, the accounts in 2 Chronicles show how leaders like King Asa experienced victory when they relied on God, and struggled when they depended on their own strength.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on where true power comes from and how it is expressed in everyday life. We will discuss how God’s wisdom shapes our choices, how our words influence others, and how relying on God’s strength leads to lasting impact.

This lesson encourages us to recognize that God has given each of us the ability to make a difference, not through our own power alone, but through His Spirit working within us. When we seek His guidance and apply His truth, we are empowered to live with purpose, integrity, and faith.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue growing in faith and learning to live out the power God has given us.
