Sunday School Preview: July 12 – Can You Pass The Test?

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church offers a place for thoughtful study, open discussion, and spiritual growth. Each week, participants gather to explore Scripture and reflect on how God’s Word speaks into the challenges, responsibilities, and experiences of everyday life. All are welcome to join, no matter where they are on their faith journey.

On Sunday, July 12, our lesson, Can You Pass The Test?, will focus on 2 Kings 23–25 and Luke 1–18. These passages bring together the closing chapters of Israel’s kings and the beginning of Jesus’ ministry, offering a powerful contrast between the consequences of disobedience and the hope found in Christ.

As the kingdom of Judah faces its final days, we see the results of choices made over generations. At the same time, the Gospel of Luke introduces us to the life and teachings of Jesus, who calls people into a renewed relationship with God. Together, these Scriptures challenge us to consider how we respond when our faith is tested.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on the different ways faith is tested—through hardship, uncertainty, obedience, and trust. We will discuss how to remain faithful when the path is difficult, how to recognize God’s work in both discipline and grace, and how Jesus’ teachings guide us in living a life that honors God.

This lesson encourages us to see life’s challenges not as obstacles to faith, but as opportunities to grow stronger in our relationship with God. With His guidance, we are equipped to face every test with confidence, knowing that He is with us every step of the way.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue growing in faith and learning to trust God through every test we face.
