Sunday School Preview: July 19 – Be Still

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church offers a place for thoughtful study, open discussion, and spiritual growth. Each week, participants gather to explore Scripture and reflect on how God’s Word speaks into the challenges, responsibilities, and experiences of everyday life. All are welcome to join, no matter where they are on their faith journey.

On Sunday, July 19, our lesson, Be Still, will focus on Luke 19–24 and Psalms 42–67. These passages bring us to the culmination of Jesus’ earthly ministry—His journey to the cross, His resurrection, and the fulfillment of God’s plan. Alongside this, the Psalms express deep longing, struggle, hope, and trust in God’s presence.

In the midst of these powerful and emotional moments, Scripture invites us to be still—to pause and recognize God’s presence even when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. The psalmists remind us that it is okay to bring our fears, doubts, and questions before God, while still choosing to trust Him.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on what it means to be still in a busy and often stressful world. We will discuss how to quiet our hearts, how to trust God in the middle of difficult circumstances, and how to find peace through His presence and promises.

This lesson encourages us to slow down, listen for God’s voice, and rest in the assurance that He is in control. Even in life’s most challenging moments, we are reminded that God is near, faithful, and worthy of our trust.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue growing in faith and learning to rest in God’s presence.
