Sunday School Preview: June 14 – Moving The Ark

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church offers a place for thoughtful study, open discussion, and spiritual growth. Each week, participants gather to explore Scripture and reflect on how God’s Word speaks into the challenges, responsibilities, and decisions of everyday life. All are welcome to join, no matter where they are on their faith journey.

On Sunday, June 14, our lesson, Moving The Ark, will focus on 1 Samuel 18–31 and 2 Samuel 1–8. These passages trace David’s journey from a young leader facing adversity to a king seeking to establish God’s presence at the center of the nation. The movement of the Ark of the Covenant to Jerusalem represents a powerful moment of prioritizing God’s presence and honoring Him in leadership and community life.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on what it means to truly place God at the center of their lives. David’s story reminds us that while leadership, success, and responsibility are important, nothing is more significant than recognizing and honoring God’s presence. It also challenges us to consider how we approach God—with reverence, obedience, and a sincere desire to follow His ways.

Together, we will discuss how to keep God at the forefront of our decisions, how to respond when we fall short, and how to realign our lives with His purpose. This lesson encourages us to move beyond routine faith and intentionally make space for God’s presence in all that we do.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue growing in faith and learning to center our lives around God’s presence.
