Sunday School Preview: June 21 – God Has Not Forgotten

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church offers a place for thoughtful study, open discussion, and spiritual growth. Each week, participants gather to explore Scripture and reflect on how God’s Word speaks into the challenges, responsibilities, and experiences of everyday life. All are welcome to join, no matter where they are on their faith journey.

On Sunday, June 21, our lesson, God Has Not Forgotten, will focus on 2 Samuel 9–24 and Psalms 38–41. These passages continue to follow the life of David, highlighting both his faithfulness and his failures. From moments of compassion and leadership to times of repentance and reflection, David’s story reminds us of God’s enduring presence through every season of life.

The accompanying Psalms give voice to the emotions that often come with hardship—struggle, sorrow, repentance, and hope. Together, these Scriptures point to a powerful truth: even when we feel distant from God or weighed down by life’s challenges, He has not forgotten us. His faithfulness remains steady, and His mercy continues to meet us where we are.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on how God’s presence remains constant even when circumstances change. We will discuss how to respond to personal failures with repentance and trust, how to recognize God’s ongoing work in our lives, and how to hold onto hope during difficult seasons.

This lesson encourages us to remember that God’s promises are not dependent on our perfection, but on His unchanging character. No matter where we find ourselves, we can trust that God sees us, cares for us, and continues to work in our lives.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue growing in faith and discovering the assurance that God has not forgotten us.
