Sunday School Preview: June 28 – The Drought is Almost Over

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church offers a place for thoughtful study, open discussion, and spiritual growth. Each week, participants gather to explore Scripture and reflect on how God’s Word speaks into the challenges, responsibilities, and experiences of everyday life. All are welcome to join, no matter where they are on their faith journey.

On Sunday, June 28, our lesson, The Drought is Almost Over, will focus on 1 Kings 1–22. These chapters include pivotal moments in Israel’s history, including the rise of new kings and the powerful ministry of the prophet Elijah. During a time of spiritual decline and physical drought, God’s presence and power are revealed in unmistakable ways.

Through Elijah’s bold faith and obedience, we are reminded that God is at work even when circumstances seem bleak. The drought in the land serves as a powerful symbol of spiritual dryness—a season where hope may feel distant and answers seem delayed. Yet, God’s timing is perfect, and His provision always comes at the right moment.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on what it means to trust God during seasons of waiting and uncertainty. We will discuss how to remain faithful when prayers seem unanswered, how to recognize God’s movement even in difficult times, and how to prepare our hearts for the renewal He brings.

This lesson encourages us to hold onto hope, knowing that God’s faithfulness never fails. Even in the driest seasons of life, He is working behind the scenes, preparing the way for restoration and new life.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue growing in faith and learning to trust God through every season—especially as we wait for the drought to end.
