Sunday School Preview: October 11 – Your Next Is Now

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church gives us an opportunity to study Scripture together and consider how its timeless messages connect with the challenges, decisions, and seasons of our own lives. Through thoughtful conversation and reflection, we are encouraged to grow in faith and become more attentive to what God is doing around us and within us.

On Sunday, October 11, our lesson, Your Next Is Now, will focus on Isaiah 25–46. These chapters continue Isaiah's powerful message while placing particular emphasis on God's sovereignty, His faithfulness to His people, His promises of restoration, and the hope that comes from trusting Him.

Isaiah reminds us that God is greater than the circumstances surrounding His people. Nations rise and fall, circumstances change, and people face uncertainty, but God remains in control. The passages in Isaiah 25–46 repeatedly point us back toward the Lord as the One who can be trusted when the future is unclear. They challenge us not to place our confidence in temporary things, but in the God who sees the beginning and the end.

At the same time, these chapters speak to the temptation to remain focused on what has already happened. Our past experiences can shape us, teach us, and sometimes even encourage us—but they can also become something we cling to when God is calling us forward. Isaiah's message reminds us that God's work is not limited to what He has already done. He is continually working, and there is still more ahead.

That makes the theme Your Next Is Now especially meaningful. We can spend so much time waiting for the “right” moment that we fail to recognize what God is placing in front of us today. We may think our next season will begin when circumstances change, when we feel more prepared, or when everything finally makes sense. But sometimes God is already inviting us to take the next step.

As we study Isaiah 25–46, we will consider what it means to trust God with the future while remaining faithful in the present. What might God be asking us to leave behind? Where might He be asking us to step forward in faith? And how can we recognize that our current season is not simply something to endure, but an opportunity to respond to what God is doing?

Your Next Is Now encourages us to look beyond yesterday without becoming consumed by tomorrow. God has been faithful in the past, He is present with us today, and He is already at work in what comes next. The challenge is to trust Him enough to recognize the opportunity in front of us and be willing to move forward when He calls.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue exploring God's Word and discovering how its message can shape the way we live, trust, and move forward in faith.
