Sunday School Preview: September 20 – Due Season

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church provides a meaningful opportunity to grow in our understanding of Scripture and strengthen our relationship with God. Through open discussion and shared reflection, participants are encouraged to connect biblical truths with the realities of everyday life.
On Sunday, September 20, our lesson, Due Season, will focus on Ecclesiastes 1–12 and Psalms 92–106. Together, these passages invite us to consider the seasons of life, the limitations of human understanding, and the importance of recognizing God’s presence and faithfulness through it all.
Ecclesiastes takes an honest look at the experiences of life. It considers work, success, relationships, pleasure, disappointment, and the passage of time, ultimately pointing toward the importance of fearing God and living faithfully. Its famous reflection on there being “a time for everything” reminds us that life is made up of different seasons, each with its own challenges and opportunities.
The Psalms provide a complementary perspective, moving from reflection on life's difficulties toward praise, worship, and confidence in God's enduring faithfulness. They remind us that although our circumstances and seasons may change, God remains constant.
During this lesson, participants will reflect on what it means to trust God's timing rather than becoming discouraged by seasons of waiting. We will discuss how to remain faithful when we cannot yet see the results we hope for, how to appreciate the season we are currently living in, and how to recognize God's work even when it unfolds gradually.
Due Season encourages us to remember that waiting is not wasted time. God can use every season of our lives to teach us, shape us, and prepare us for what comes next. When we trust His timing, we can approach both the waiting and the fulfillment with greater faith and gratitude.
Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue learning, growing, and discovering how to faithfully live through every season God places before us.
