Sunday School Preview: September 27 – Oh, What Love!

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church provides a meaningful opportunity to grow in our understanding of Scripture and strengthen our relationship with God. Through open discussion and shared reflection, participants are encouraged to connect biblical truths with the realities of everyday life.

On Sunday, September 27, our lesson, Oh, What Love!, will focus on Song of Songs 1–8 and Psalms 107–128. These passages offer rich reflections on love, devotion, gratitude, worship, and the faithfulness of God.

Song of Songs presents a beautiful poetic celebration of love and devotion. While the book speaks directly about human love and marriage, its themes of commitment, delight, faithfulness, and deep affection have also led generations of readers to reflect on the relationship between God and His people.

The Psalms included in this lesson provide a broader picture of God's relationship with His people. They recount God's deliverance, celebrate His goodness, and repeatedly call His people to respond with thanksgiving and praise. Together, these passages remind us that love and gratitude are central to a life of faith.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on the many ways love is expressed throughout Scripture. We will discuss God's enduring love, the importance of faithful relationships, and the ways gratitude and worship help us recognize God's goodness in our lives.

Oh, What Love! invites us to slow down and consider the depth of the love we encounter in Scripture—from the intimate poetry of Song of Songs to the repeated testimony of the Psalms that God is faithful, compassionate, and worthy of our praise. As we reflect on that love, we are also challenged to express it through the way we live and the way we treat others.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue learning, growing, and discovering the depth of God's love expressed throughout His Word.
