Sunday School Preview: September 6 – You Have To Know

Adult Sunday School at Green Camp United Methodist Church provides a meaningful opportunity to grow in our understanding of Scripture and strengthen our relationship with God. Through open discussion and shared reflection, participants are encouraged to connect biblical truths with the realities of everyday life.

On Sunday, September 6, our lesson, You Have To Know, will focus on Job 22–42. These chapters bring Job's story toward its conclusion as he continues to wrestle with difficult questions about suffering, justice, and God's purposes. His conversations with his friends reveal how easily human beings can assume they understand why others are going through difficult circumstances, while Job's own experience demonstrates the limits of human understanding.

As the book moves toward its powerful conclusion, God speaks to Job and challenges him to consider the vastness of God's wisdom and authority. Job does not receive a simple explanation for everything he has experienced. Instead, he comes to a deeper understanding of who God is—and that knowledge changes his perspective.

During this lesson, participants will reflect on the difference between knowing about God and truly knowing God. We will discuss how faith can remain strong even when we do not have all the answers, why humility is important when dealing with life's mysteries, and how trusting God's character can sustain us through uncertainty.

This lesson reminds us that we may not always understand God's plans, but we can know His character. When circumstances are confusing or difficult, that foundation of faith can help us respond with greater trust, humility, and hope.

Adult Sunday School meets every Sunday at 9:30 AM, followed by worship at 10:30 AM. We invite you to join us as we continue learning, growing, and deepening our understanding of the God we trust.
