📖 Scriptures: Galatians 3:5-14; Ephesians 2:8-10
🎙 Message: The Graciousness of God – Rev. Romy Velasco
It is a core human temptation to believe that our standing with God depends on our own righteousness, perfection, or good deeds. In Galatians 3, the Apostle Paul confronts this mindset directly, reminding us that no one is justified before God by relying on the law. Instead, true blessing and righteousness come through faith, following the example of Abraham, who trusted in God's promise.
Rev. Romy Velasco connects Paul's defense of faith with the classic teaching in Ephesians 2. We are reminded that salvation is entirely a work of divine grace—a gift that cannot be earned or achieved through human effort. Christ took upon Himself the burden of our shortcomings on the cross so that we might freely receive the promise of the Holy Spirit and enter into a restored relationship with the Father.
Understanding God's grace changes the way we live. We are not saved by good works, but we are saved for good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. When we realize that our identity and security are anchored in His unearned favor, our daily lives shift from anxious striving to joyful, love-driven service to others.
We invite you to join us this Sunday as we gather to reflect on the immense generosity of God. Our worship service offers a peaceful space to recharge your faith, lift your heart in praise, and connect with a compassionate church community. We look forward to worshipping together with you!
