📖 Scripture: Luke 10:25–37
🎙 Message: “The Parable of the Good Samaritan” – Rev. Romy Velasco
In Luke 10, a lawyer asks Jesus a profound question: “Who is my neighbor?” Rather than offering a simple definition, Jesus tells a story that turns expectations upside down.
The parable of the Good Samaritan reveals that neighborly love crosses boundaries of ethnicity, status, and comfort. While others pass by, the Samaritan stops, sees, and acts with compassion. His mercy becomes the embodiment of the love God calls us to show.
In this message, “The Parable of the Good Samaritan,” Pastor Romy Velasco will explore how this story challenges us to move beyond convenient kindness and toward courageous compassion. Jesus’ words, “Go and do likewise,” remind us that faith is lived out in tangible acts of mercy and care.
Join us at Green Camp United Methodist Church as we worship together and reflect on what it means to love our neighbors as ourselves.
