📖 Scripture: Luke 16:19–31

🎙 Message: “The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus” – Rev. Romy Velasco

In Luke 16, Jesus tells a parable that confronts listeners with the stark contrast between wealth and poverty, comfort and suffering, attention and neglect. The story of the Rich Man and Lazarus is not simply about possessions, but about awareness, responsibility, and compassion.

The rich man fails to notice Lazarus at his gate, revealing how easily comfort can dull our sensitivity to the needs of others. After death, the reversal of their circumstances underscores the seriousness of how we live and respond to God’s call for justice and mercy.

In this message, “The Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus,” Pastor Romy Velasco will reflect on what this parable teaches about faithful living, generosity, and listening to God’s Word. It challenges us to examine our priorities and to respond with compassion while we have the opportunity.
