Honoring Our Heroes: Veterans Recognition Sunday

This past Sunday, Green Camp UMC gathered to celebrate Veterans Recognition Sunday, a special service dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served our country in the Armed Forces.

During worship, we expressed heartfelt gratitude to our veterans for their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting our freedoms. The congregation joined in a time of prayer and thanksgiving, lifting up all who have served as well as those currently serving.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” These words remind us that the same strength and faith that carry our veterans through challenges are the same gifts God offers to each of us today.

We extend our deepest thanks to every veteran in our church family and community. Your service and sacrifice continue to inspire us all.
