📖 Scriptures: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8; 2nd Corinthians 6:1-10
🎙 Message: In God's Own Timing – Rev. Romy Velasco
The book of Ecclesiastes famously reminds us that for everything there is a season—a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to keep and a time to throw away. This ancient wisdom suggests that life is not a series of random events, but a rhythmic journey overseen by a sovereign Creator. Understanding this rhythm is key to finding contentment in a world that often demands instant results.
Rev. Romy Velasco connects this timeless perspective with Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, where the "acceptable time" of God's grace meets the harsh realities of human struggle. Paul’s life was marked by great trials, yet he remained steadfast, proving that God’s timing doesn't always mean the absence of difficulty, but rather the presence of God's strength within it.
This message invites us to reflect on our own current seasons. Are we trying to force a door open that God has closed, or are we missing the "now" because we are too focused on the "next"? By aligning our hearts with God’s calendar, we find the freedom to live fully in the present moment, trusting that He is working all things together for good.
We welcome you to join our church family this Sunday as we seek to grow in patience and faith together. Our doors are open to everyone in the Green Camp community and beyond as we gather to worship and learn.
