🎙 Message: A Day To Remember – Rev. Romy Velasco

Memorial Day weekend is a sacred time in our nation to remember and honor those who gave everything in service to others. Memory is a powerful gift; it tethers us to foundational truths and shapes how we live in the present. This Sunday, we look at a profound moment of transition and memory for the disciples: the day Jesus ascended into heaven.

Rev. Romy Velasco will lead us through the opening accounts of Acts and the conclusion of Luke's Gospel. The disciples stood staring into the sky, witnessing the departure of their Master. Yet, instead of falling into despair or staying stuck in that moment, they returned to Jerusalem with great joy, ready to wait for the Holy Spirit and carry out the mission left to them.

This message challenges us to think about what it means to live as a people of remembrance. We honor the sacrifices of the past—both in our nation and in our faith—by actively moving forward in the purpose we have been given. The angels reminded the disciples that Jesus would return, giving them an active hope to fuel their ministry.

We warmly invite you to join our church family for this special holiday weekend service. It is a wonderful opportunity to pause, reflect, and worship together in unity. Whether you are a local resident or visiting family in the area, our doors are open to you.
